Father Figure review

Father Figure is James J. Cudney’s second novel. I loved his first, Watching Glass Shatter, so I had to read this one too. I am not disappointed! I loved this one too.
The story is about two women that grew up totally different from one another. It is told from alternating timelines and the reader knows the two periods of time will collide. I figured out early the main person/thing that was going to bring the stories together. But that didn’t ruin the book for me. I couldn’t read fast enough. I couldn’t wait for one specific person to discover my theory. But boy did it get deeper!! So much deeper. The more details that emerged, the more questions came up. The more questions that were answered, the more details you wanted. The last half of the book was full of little surprises. What a ride!
This book has characters that I loved and felt so much empathy for, and a few I hated and wanted to beat the crap out of.
The plot was terrific. It was very well written and full of emotion. I love how all the puzzle pieces fit perfectly together.
There are also great lessons that could be learned from this book, in my opinion.
