This book follows a young woman named Lizzy Beresford. She lives in a small cottage with her boyfriend Joe and their cat Frank. One morning Lizzy finds a letter in an envelope sticking out from underneath the floorboards. After finally retrieving it with much effort, the envelope appears to be old as if it has been there for quite a long time – years even. But the letter is addressed to Lizzy and has the current date on it. How can this be? Who would write a letter to Lizzy and leave it under the floorboards?
